SPECIALIST CHILDRENS THERAPY:

(I have a full enhanced DRB check to work with children and am fully HCPC registered). As a therapist, I am also involved in ongoing work as a Senior Clinical Specialist in Paediatric Therapy within the NHS and Priately, and therefore am highly qualified to deal with a wide range of issues affecting children at home and school. I work closely with schools (including special schools), children's Centre’s, nurseries, with families, Paediatricians, G.P's, and other specialist child health services across healthcare/social service authorities. I work with children experiencing behavioural issues, those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, developmental, neurological disorders and more, offering assessment, advice and treatment programs where appropriate.

Children's Clinical Therapy is delivered differently to adults; having a more gentle age appropriate holistic approach. The approach to your child is tailored carefully, taking into account their unique qualities, abilities and maximum potential. I work in close collaboration with schools, health and social services where required to meet your child’s wider needs.

  • Sensory assessments ( Looking at your childs difficulties with Sensory Processing at home, in the classroom and other environments) Sensory Integration training.

  • Anxiety assessments - Helping your child to understand what anxiety is and what to do about it.

  • Fears & Phobias - EMDR, Children’s Hypnosis, NLP and Play Therapy Techniques and more.

  • Parenting Training and Advice for challenging behaviour - Tailored to each child and families individual challenges and needs

  • School Based assessments - I am also a fully licenced Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist and work closely with schools for a variety of needs.
